So surprised
to get Christmas cards
from people
that you haven't
had contact with
in months or
even years
good spirit
visits people
at this time of year
to find the
goodness in themselves
and somehow they
think they can
show goodness
by sending
a Christmas card
to me it's like flowers
on a grave
bring me flowers
while I am alive
so I can enjoy them
I don't need them
when I am dead
same thing to me
with Christmas cards
send me a card
during the year
or on my birthday
means more
to me then
the one in a dozen
christmas cards
the good spirit
visits people this
time of year
it's sitting on my
shoulder the rest
of the year
