the days are
closing in
and the hours
are ticking away fast
my birthday is coming
I can't deny
I will become 37
It's a nice age
and I will get used to it
another one
to celebrate without
my beloved one
without my family
so in my heart
I will pretend
it's not my birthday yet
till we are together
and feel my heart
make the jump of joy
when she walks
into the room
and fill it with
my birthday smile
